STEAM Co. provides the Inspiration and Resources to help communities run STEAM Co. Days.

INSPIRATIONAL EVENTS

A large part of the inspiration bit is running and supporting events around the UK to celebrate and showcase creativity and how it can inspire children, innovate business and connect communities.

As well as speaking at events all over the UK, we've held one and two day events in secondary schools in Liverpool and Sunderland and even an evening event at the top floor of Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf, London.

These events have all been filmed and the films can be used in smaller regional events in local communities.

ONE DAY IN SUNDERLAND

When a primary school teacher who had been at our larger regional launch event in Sunderland, came to us to ask if we could visit his school, we came up with the idea of the STEAM Co. Community Briefing.

He arranged for his and three other schools to host a half day 'Rocket Kids' STEAM Co. Sampler session over a Thursday and Friday.

On the Thursday evening, they got some sandwiches in and hosted a STEAM Co. Community Briefing, where Nick Corston, co-founder of STEAM Co. gave a short talk, showed some films alongside short talks from local artists, teachers and parents.

The school provided a t-shirt printing machine and everyone got the chance to design an '#ILoveART' t-shirt as part of the '@People4Art campaign we launched in the city that week.
