CONCERT: JINGLE BELL ROCK IN LEEDS

Christmas isn’t Christmas without a visit to Parklands Primary on the Seacroft Estate in Leeds with our old friend Mr Dyson, his epic team and the community there.

As it’s his last Christmas at the shcool what better send off than a full blown rock concert with staff and chidlren performing LIVE (no backing tracks here - it’s not Glasto!)

And what better way to inspire our children, our communities and our contry to aim higher than high than Mr Goodwin’s band Tytania joining the children.

See a snap shot below and the live streams below that:

ART OF ROCKETS

Possibly the most exciting and inspiring present anyone will ever get or give, a real dynamite rocket!

This rocket takes a few minutes to build and is even easier to launch and will fly to 700 feet (225m) before descending on a parachute to go again.

While fun and safe if used in conjunction with the instructions supplied, THIS IS NOT A TOY and must not be used by anyone under the age of 12 without adult supervision.

Buy here for £49.95 (inc one B6.4 motor and dynamite secure courier delivery)

Seriously consider buying a few extra rocket motors and fire proof recovery wadding whle you are at it.

I LOVE ART

THE UK TOUR

With the support of the Edge Foundation, from Tuesday 6th December we’re hitting the road and looking for eleven schools to visit for free, starting with our old friends at Parklands Primary School on the Seacroft Estate in Leeds, led by Chris Dyson, see the film below of the fun we unleased there last year when we made a cardboard flying saucer, inspired by the John Lewis ad.

The three greatest gifts?

Creativity isn’t just for Christmas, and we talk to children and communities about The Three Greatest Gifts all year but what are they:

We feel all parents, carers and communities should be doing all they can to give our children The Three Greatest Gifts, and don’t worry abot the cost, they are as good as FREE and yet PRICELESS:

  • TIME - Quality, undistracted time with children, to read together for just ten minutes a day, to play or simply to be

  • STORIES - Exposure to exciting and interestng things at museums, events, places to build what the experts call ‘cultural capital’

  • ART - helping find that thing we love doing, that one day might help us make some money, some friends and the world a better place.

And our #LetsCreateXmas22 tour is all about just that, and inspiring all our chidlren to aim higher than high with them.

This half day session consists of the following:

  • All School Assembly - talking about the Three Greatest Gifts and the improtance of reading and creativity, all live streamed into the community to send the message home

  • Creative Activities - cardboard modelling, rocket making and creative coding for three classes

  • A Real Rocket Launch - a community finale to inspire everyone to aim higher than high

All fully insured, risk assessed and with full enhanced DBS

For a small additional charge we can stay the day so that every child in every class gets to engage in the three activities.
