THE ROCKET KIDS CLUB

It's an idea we've been playing with for ages - and Rocket Boys book author Homer Hickam Jr has agreed to be our patron - but a visit to a school the other day where many kids struggled to focus, listen and do simple tasks like use scissors and fold paper reminded us how urgent it is to get our kids thinking, creating and doing this summer holiday - not just consuming.

CARDBOARD

GET YOUR KIDS ADDICTED TO MAKING

Did we say, we LOVE cardboard - it’s such a versatile material. to bring ideas to life with, it’s free, it’s safe and it’s envonmentally friendly

If you invest in one of our #ScruwSets you won’t be apying out for glue, batteries or apps this summer and your chidlren will be busy making and using their imagination

INSPIRATION THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS

  • We will share some creative ideas and post a creative idea for children to try - writing, reading, making, coding

  • We'll share a load of them on a blog page

  • And give a prize for each one - not necessarily the best, but the most eye catching, where the effort is evident

  • We have a busy summer ahead so will share our antics too on a dedicated child friendly YouTube channel

* As long as the interest is there

OUR ASSURANCE

The Rocket Kids Club will be a place for kids and their carers to be inspired, to create and to share.

We will follow all child safety and GDPR protocols and have respectful  inclusive community values

There will be no subscription this summer, hopefully never but as this is unfunded we will offer low cost items for sale to help raise funds such as cardboard modelling kits, coding kits, robotic kits, rocket kids, as well as print t-shirts and request donations to the #OurMillion23 appeal to 'raise a million quids to inspire a million kids' by putting up to 23 of our STEAMsters and our pop-up creativity day drop trucks on the road.
